Earlier Report Observations

From 2018 to 2019, the Ukrainian fresh strawberry market remained stable at around 62 000 tonnes, supported by growing consumer interest in healthy eating and organic products. However, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted logistics and supply chains, leading to a drop in market volume to 55 098 tonnes.

The market rebounded in 2021 to 62 423 tonnes, driven by the entry of new players focused on organic produce and sustained consumer demand for sustainably grown strawberries. Subsequently, in 2022, global factors such as rising energy prices and logistical challenges due to regional conflicts caused the market to decline to 56 558 tonnes. In 2023, market volume saw a slight decrease to 55 327 tonnes.
