From 2021 onward, the market expanded significantly, reaching 9 547 t in 2022 and 12 009 t in 2023. The launch of a comprehensive plan for agricultural processing development for 2024-2028 channeled investments into berry greenhouse infrastructure and strawberry processing, stimulating output. The introduction of mandatory digital NTIN labeling in 2022 enhanced market transparency, while technical regulations required full packaging information. In 2023, exports of fresh strawberries to Russia surged 88-fold to 277 t, opening a new foreign market, alongside continued growth in the premium segment.

In 2024, further expansion of mandatory labeling to new food categories and tightened packaging and traceability requirements strengthened the regulatory environment. State support through the 'Auýl – El besigi' program continued, offering subsidies for drip irrigation and biological protection. Strawberry imports rose to 4 193 t in 2024, indicating sustained demand.
