The Russian market for jams, jellies, marmalades, purées and pastes experienced a clear upward trend in domestic production from 2018 to 2025. This growth was initially supported by the introduction of the new GOST 34113-2017 standard, which established unified technical requirements for raw materials, production technology, and packaging. Becoming mandatory in January 2019, this regulation provided long-term stability for manufacturers, encouraging investment and output expansion.

Production growth accelerated further from 2022, aided by government measures to support small businesses. Municipal financial assistance for purchasing equipment and software facilitated the entry of new producers into the market, directly increasing domestic manufacturing capacity. This development helped offset a concurrent contraction in imports, which were affected by broader geopolitical sanctions and trade disruptions.

As a result, despite fluctuations in import volumes, consistent growth in domestic production led to an overall increase in the total market volume from 331.3 thousand tons in 2018 to 384.2 thousand tons in 2024. The market's expansion throughout the period was underpinned by a stable regulatory environment and targeted support for local manufacturers.
