After a contraction to 78.9 million liters in 2022, the market rebounded to 95.6 million liters in 2023. The latter part of the period saw the implementation of new EU rules on juice labeling and composition, introducing categories with reduced sugar content, alongside a significant increase in pesticide controls on fruits and vegetables affecting the supply chain. The market also adapted through strategic moves, such as the partnership between local producer Natura and the company iSilent, reflecting engagement with evolving consumer trends.

From 2017 to 2020, Bulgaria, Spain, and Hungary were the top markets for Romania's fruit and vegetable juice exports in volume terms. Bulgaria accounted for 40.3% of exports, Spain for 12.8%, and Hungary for 11.6%, together making up 64.7% of total export flows.

Romania's fruit and vegetable juice exports in value terms declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, exports totaled 14 790 thousand US dollars, down 26.2% from 2019. Over the 2017–2020 period, exports fell by 23.5%, with an average annual decrease of 8.6%. The highest value was recorded in 2018 at 21 088 thousand US dollars, which also saw the largest annual increase of 9.0%.

Between 2017 and 2020, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Czechia were the leading destinations for Romania's fruit and vegetable juice exports in value terms. Bulgaria represented 34.4% of exports, Hungary 15.7%, and Czechia 8.4%, together accounting for 58.5% of total export value.
