The market then contracted sharply to 7 187 t in 2022 when exports surged to 10 810 t, driven by increased demand from Russia where reduced supplies from Europe created an opportunity for Uzbek economy-segment wine, with the 'Wine and Cognac Trust' of Mikhail Fomin becoming a key exporter.

By 2023, market volume further declined to 4 471 t as production dropped to 12 245 t and exports remained high, albeit slightly tempered by softer demand in Russia. The industry continued to focus on quality improvements and international recognition, supported by state policies promoting wine consumption over strong alcohol. By 2024, factors such as shifting consumer preferences toward low-alcohol beverages and ongoing technological advances pointed to continued evolution in the sector.

The lowest value was recorded in 2018 at 9 854 thousand US dollars, which also saw the largest decline of 28.8%.
