Throughout these years, export volumes consistently surpassed imports, indicating that a significant portion of local output was destined for foreign markets.

Overall, the regional market volume followed a cyclical path, ending the period approximately 354 thousand tons below its 2018 level. The most pronounced contraction occurred in 2023, reflecting a shift in the regional supply-demand balance.

Vietnam accounted for 25.3% of export value, Morocco for 11.4%, and the United Arab Emirates for 9.2%, with these three countries together representing only 45.9% of total flows.
