Production of non-coniferous roundwood in the MENA region showed overall stability from 2018 to 2023. Output began at 33.2 million cubic meters in 2018 and saw a slight increase the following year, reaching 33.3 million cubic meters in 2019. This minor growth aligned with a peak in global industrial roundwood consumption, which supported international demand and pricing during that period.

After a marginal dip in 2020, production recovered to 33.4 million cubic meters in 2021. This resurgence corresponded with a sharp 19% rise in global exports of industrial roundwood and a concurrent 14% jump in export prices, creating favorable conditions for producers. The upward trend continued into 2022, with output climbing to 33.5 million cubic meters, sustained by a further 3.2% increase in global export prices even as the broader international market value softened. Production then declined to 33.0 million cubic meters in 2023.

Following two consecutive years of growth, non-coniferous roundwood production in the MENA region experienced a decline. In 2019, production reached its peak at 33 305 thousand cubic meters. The following year, in 2020, output remained relatively stable at 33 265 thousand cubic meters, showing no significant change from the previous year. The most notable increase occurred in 2018, when production rose by 0.2%.
