The Armenian market for homogenised jams, jellies, marmalades, purées and pastes began the period at 974 tonnes in 2018. It expanded sharply in 2019, reaching 1 543 tonnes as production rose to 1 520 tonnes, supported by development programmes from USAID/CARD and the IFAD-backed 'Armenian Fruit' joint-stock company, which fostered orchard projects and small‑farm initiatives for fruit and nut processing. In 2020, output held steady at 1 530 tonnes, while market volume eased to 1 462 tonnes.

After a rebound in 2021 that lifted production to 1 638 tonnes and market size to 1 800 tonnes, the following year saw a modest correction, with output slipping to 1 597 tonnes and the market contracting to 1 658 tonnes. The market regained momentum in 2023, with production climbing to 1 674 tonnes and consumption reaching 1 681 tonnes. This recovery was underpinned by the strong role of local industry leaders such as 'Sam‑Ar', a major producer of jams and preserves, and the arrival of new product segments like sugar‑free frozen fruit purée for the HoReCa channel, which reflected broader shifts in fruit availability and consumer habits.

In 2020, the country produced 1 530 tonnes, marking a slight increase of 0.7% compared to 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production surged by 112.8%, translating to an annualised growth rate of 28.6%.

Armenia's imports of homogenised jams, jellies, marmalades, purées, and pastes increased for the third year in a row. In 2020, imports reached 28 826 kg, reflecting a substantial rise of 25.9% from 2019. From 2017 to 2020, import volumes grew by 137.6%, equivalent to an annualised rate of 33.4%.

During 2017–2020, Russia, Spain, and Poland were the leading sources of imports in volume terms, with shares of 53.8%, 13.8%, and 11.7%, respectively. Together, these three countries accounted for 79.3% of total import flows.

After two years of growth, Armenia's imports of homogenised jams, jellies, marmalades, purées, and pastes in value terms declined. In 2020, imports were recorded at 92 936 US dollars, down 3.8% from the previous year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, import values increased by 78.7%, corresponding to an annualised growth rate of 21.3%. The highest value was in 2019 at 96 597 US dollars, while the largest year-on-year increase occurred in 2018 at 45.5%.
