From 2021, the market underwent a structural shift as Spanish and Italian producers rapidly adopted high-yield seedless varieties, extending the season but initially affecting output levels. A turnaround came in 2022 when favorable weather conditions in France, particularly for AOC grapes, delivered an excellent harvest, boosting production and market size. By 2023, evolving consumer preferences toward organic grapes and specific varieties drove innovation in packaging and preservation, while administrative simplifications for seasonal harvest work aided operational continuity.

From 2017 to 2020, the production value rose by 31.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of 9.5%. The peak value was achieved in 2018 at 45 472 million US dollars, reflecting a substantial 43.5% increase. However, 2019 experienced the largest decline, with the value falling by 25.8%.
