Earlier Report Observations

The volume of the grape market in the Caribbean region rose from 38 945 tons in 2018 to 45 528 tons in 2023. Growth was not uniform, with a sharp increase of 11.7% in 2020 followed by near-stability in 2021. After a modest dip in 2022, consumption recovered to set a new high in the final year of the period.

Domestic production fluctuated between 19 000 and 24 000 tons, while imports grew steadily from 18 856 tons to 26 150 tons over the same span. With exports remaining negligible, the expansion of market size was primarily supported by higher import volumes, which compensated for variable local output.
