Following two consecutive years of decline, fruit and vegetable juice production in ECOWAS showed a recovery in value terms. In 2018, the largest decrease was recorded at 15.0%, with the lowest value occurring in 2019 at 41 964 thousand US dollars. By 2020, production value surged to 52 662 thousand US dollars, marking a sharp 25.5% rise compared to 2019. Despite this recent growth, overall production decreased by 6.8% from 2017 to 2020, translating to an average annual decline of 2.3%.

Over the 2017-2020 period, exports still managed a 5.0% overall increase, with a compound annual growth rate of 1.6%.

An analysis of fruit and vegetable juice export volumes from 2017 to 2020 reveals a widely distributed market structure. The top three destinations—the Netherlands (7.1% of exports), Italy (5.0%), and France (3.4%)—collectively accounted for just 15.6% of total exports.
