Earlier Report Observations

The African fruit and vegetable juice market grew steadily from 2018 to 2019, with volume rising from 1,210 million liters to 1,304 million liters. This trend was interrupted in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic led to a contraction to 1,068 million liters, before a strong recovery in 2021 brought volume back to 1,298 million liters.

From 2022, the market was influenced by widespread inflation and rising production costs, which drove up prices. While physical volume peaked at 1,336 million liters in 2022, it declined to 1,195 million liters in 2023. However, market value remained near $2.3 billion in 2023, supported by a shift in consumer preference toward healthier, natural, and functional juice products.
