Earlier Report Observations

From 2018 to 2020, the German fruit and vegetable juice market volume declined from 480 million litres to 385 million litres. This decrease was partly due to a reduction in production volumes observed in 2019.

The market recovered to 428 million litres in 2021. However, it fell sharply to 314 million litres in 2022, driven by high inflation and supply shortages which led to significant price increases and reduced consumption. In 2023, volume rebounded to 372 million litres, supported by growing consumer demand for natural and plant-based juices, alongside the launch of new product lines by major companies like PepsiCo.
