Tajikistan's apricot production grew for the third consecutive year. In 2020, the country produced 87 671 tonnes of apricots, marking a 29.3% increase from the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production rose by 64.7%, with an average annual growth rate of 18.1%.

Exports apricots from Tajikistan

After two years of growth, Tajikistan's apricot exports declined. In 2020, exports totaled 3 751 tonnes, a modest 7.1% decrease from 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports increased by 54.7%, with an average annual growth rate of 15.7%. The highest export volume was recorded in 2019 at 4 038 tonnes, which also saw the largest annual increase of 51.0%.

From 2017 to 2020, Kyrgyzstan accounted for 73.5% of Tajikistan's total apricot exports by volume, while the remaining exports were distributed among a diverse group of smaller countries.
