Romania records Europe's largest weekly diesel price increase after five-day Kazakh export halt

Romanian pump prices for diesel rose 7.5% in seven days, the biggest increase among the European countries surveyed, after Kazakhstan briefly suspended crude oil exports to Romania on 22 July. Deliveries resumed on 27 July and Brent fell from $94.07 to $83.76 per barrel, but retail prices in Bucharest kept climbing toward 11 lei per litre. Energy experts cited by Adevărul say the market passes increases through immediately and decreases only with a delay.

Global palm oil exports declined by 500,000 tonnes year on year to 12.07 million tonnes in April-June 2026, according to Oil World data reported by ZOL. Lower shipments from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand coincided with an 8% rise in combined exports of soybean, sunflower and rapeseed oils.
