A government-industry collaboration push in 2021 supported production growth, contributing to a slight market increase that year. However, in 2022, heightened global demand for sustainable coffee boosted exports to 433.8 thousand tonnes, tightening domestic supply. The market surge in 2023 coincided with a sharp drop in exports to 276.2 thousand tonnes and the concurrent growth of domestic coffee agribusiness and downstream cafe chains.

For 2024 and 2025, full market volume data is unavailable, but trade figures indicate import growth to 51.4 thousand tonnes in 2024 and a subsequent drop to 29.2 thousand tonnes in 2025. Exports, meanwhile, rose sharply to 508.6 thousand tonnes in 2025. Key developments in these years included the 2025 introduction of mandatory SNI standards for instant coffee, a continued industry shift toward sustainable and organic farming practices, and record-high coffee prices in early 2025 influenced by climate change and global supply chain factors.

In 2021, the output was valued at 1 737 million US dollars, a moderate increase of 5.7% compared to 2020. The lowest value occurred in 2020 at 1 643 million US dollars, with the sharpest drop of 16.3% taking place in 2019.
