The market volume for unroasted, not decaffeinated coffee in Belize grew substantially from 106 830 kg in 2018 to 150 587 kg in 2023, representing an overall expansion of 41%. This growth was not linear, featuring a slight dip in 2019 before a recovery in 2020 and a sharp acceleration in 2023.

Throughout this period, domestic production remained stable at approximately 89 500 kg per year. Consequently, the entire market growth was attributable to imports, which more than tripled from 17 464 kg in 2018 to 61 277 kg in 2023.

Following the 2023 peak, import volumes declined to 51 539 kg in 2024 and 21 677 kg in 2025, indicating a significant change in supply patterns for the Belizean market in the latter years of the period.

In 2021, the country produced 89 620 kg, showing only a marginal fluctuation from the previous year. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 89 440 kg. That year also saw the largest decline of 0.5%, while 2020 experienced the largest increase of 0.1%.
