Early in the period, aligning greenhouse tomato supply with consumer demand proved difficult due to unpredictable weather and rapid spoilage, creating challenges for juice production reliant on this raw material.

After the 2021 high, market volume contracted sharply to 4.4 million liters in 2022 and further to 3.9 million liters in 2023, before a modest recovery to 4.1 million liters in 2024. This was accompanied by a notable decline in domestic production, which fell to 1.6 million liters in 2024.

In 2025, import volume rose to 3.1 million liters while exports decreased, underscoring ongoing import reliance. Factors such as high gas prices and a strong dollar reducing fertilizer production capacity, alongside unstable April temperatures and moon phase considerations for planting, introduced new risks for local tomato cultivation and future juice supply chains.
