After stabilizing around 16 300 t in 2022, the market volume began to recover, reaching 17 327 t by 2024. This turnaround was supported by the easing of global supply chain pressures in 2023, which reduced transportation and storage costs. Furthermore, in 2024, the entry of a new player, MäsoP, aiming to replace a bankrupt competitor, and the consolidation efforts by the major processor Mecom, injected new dynamics into the market.
