The market volume for fresh quinces in Armenia showed significant fluctuations between 2018 and 2023. After starting at 2 331 tonnes in 2018, it fell to 1 640 tonnes in 2019 and stabilized around 1 630 tonnes in 2020. A sharp recovery occurred in 2021, lifting the market to a peak of 2 479 tonnes, followed by a gradual decline to 2 192 tonnes in 2022 and 1 956 tonnes in 2023.

Domestic production followed a similar volatile path, reaching its highest point of 2 463 tonnes in 2021. Imports and exports remained minor overall, though imports saw a temporary rise to 133 tonnes in 2022, while exports were negligible throughout the period.

In 2020, Armenia produced 1 571 tonnes of quinces, showing little change from the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production declined by 26%, with an average annual decrease of 9.5%. The lowest production was recorded in 2019 at 1 566 tonnes, while the highest was in 2018 at 2 269 tonnes. The sharpest drop occurred in 2019 with a 31.0% decrease, whereas the largest increase was in 2018 at 6.9%.
