The market exhibited notable volatility during the observed period. In 2018, imports reached their lowest level, while 2021 saw the peak, with a 2.1-fold difference between these years. In 2021, Russia's exports of preserved vegetables, fruit and nuts totaled 13.5 thousand tonnes, representing a strong 16.7% increase from the previous year. The largest decline occurred in 2020, with a drop of 0.8%, whereas 2019 recorded the biggest increase at 77.9%.

Throughout the period from 2018 to 2021, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Ukraine remained the key markets for Russia's exports of preserved vegetables, fruit and nuts in value terms.
