In 2020, the volume reached 6 374 tonnes, marking a significant 17.2% increase compared to the previous year. However, looking at the broader period from 2017 to 2020, exports actually declined by 17.3%, which translates to an average annual decrease of 6.1%. The lowest point was in 2018, with exports at 4 198 tonnes. That year also saw the sharpest drop of 45.6%, while the largest gain occurred in 2019 with a 29.6% rise.

From 2017 to 2020, Denmark, Finland, and Hungary were the top destinations for Sweden's exports of preserved vegetables, fruit, and nuts by volume. Denmark accounted for 35.2% of exports, Finland for 20.1%, and Hungary for 4.1%. Together, these three countries made up 59.3% of Sweden's total export flows during this period.
