A significant development occurred in 2022 when poultry meat exports surged by 14%. This growth was driven by diversification into new export destinations such as Albania, Angola, and Mozambique, facilitated by quality standards enforced by the National Animal Quality and Health Service (SENACSA). The increased export activity encouraged higher production, though it slightly reduced domestic availability that year.

By 2023, production reached 163.9 thousand metric tons, with exports climbing to 13.3 thousand metric tons. The processing capacity in Paraguayan slaughterhouses remained robust, as evidenced by 52 million kilograms of meat processed in February 2025, indicating sustained industrial activity supporting the poultry sector.
