The market rebounded sharply in 2022, with volume jumping to 1 016 t, an increase of over 30% from the previous year. This recovery was followed by a modest contraction to 960 t in 2023. Throughout the period, the market remained entirely dependent on imports, with no exports recorded.

Orange production in Seychelles declined after two years of growth. In 2019, production reached its peak at 46 370 kg, but by 2020 it had fallen to 45 570 kg, marking a slight contraction of 1.7%. The largest annual increase occurred in 2018, when production rose by 1.8%.
