However, production rebounded to 1.37 million tons in 2023, aided by improved logistics, adoption of modern growing technologies, and a 1.5‑fold increase in vegetable exports.

Overall, the melon market volume in Kazakhstan expanded from 807 thousand tons in 2018 to 1.35 million tons in 2023, reflecting the sector's resilience to regulatory changes and its capacity to maintain growth through improved efficiency and market adaptation.
