The grape market volume in Guatemala increased from 31 056 t in 2018 to 33 620 t in 2022, reflecting steady growth over the period. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food (MAGA) supported market stability by publishing price annuals and providing strategic information through the Market Information System (SIM), which aided planning and regulation.

Growth accelerated in 2022, reaching 33 620 t, largely due to the expansion of the wine market. Events such as the V Wine and Gastronomy Festival, promoted by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and ICEX Guatemala, stimulated consumption and promotion of grape-derived products, boosting demand for grapes.

Production remained stable around 20 000 t annually, while market volume peaked in 2022 before stabilizing at 33 374 t in 2023. Consumer preferences shifted toward red wines, indicating evolving market trends for grape-based products.

Guatemala's grape production saw a decline after two years of growth. In 2019, production reached its peak at 20 529 tons.
