Earlier Report Observations

The market volume for dried grapes in Poland peaked in 2020 at 17 779 т, supported by a rise in domestic production to 2 772 т. This increase in output was facilitated by the availability of imported fresh grapes, which supplied raw material for processing.

From 2021 to 2022, the market contracted by over 3 500 т, falling to 14 228 т, with both production and imports declining. The market value dropped even more sharply, by nearly one-third, indicating pressure on prices or a shift in product mix.

Recovery began in 2023, with market volume rebounding to 16 061 т. By 2024, volume stabilized around 15 896 т, while market value jumped by 23% to 37 143 thousand USD. Changes in consumer preferences towards wine consumption may have redirected grape supplies away from drying, contributing to lower domestic production, which was offset by higher imports.
