Market growth was not uniform, however. After a 4% rise in 2019, volume dipped slightly in 2020. A major surge followed in 2021, when the market jumped by 13% to 633.5 thousand tons. Growth continued in 2022, reaching a peak of 690 thousand tons, before a minor correction of less than 1% in 2023.
