Earlier Report Observations

Between 2018 and 2023, the apple juice market volume experienced notable fluctuations, starting with a significant drop to 312 million liters in 2019. This decline was primarily driven by a 13.2% decrease in production that year, as manufacturers faced higher costs for imported fruit due to ruble devaluation.

Market volume recovered in 2020 and 2021, reaching over 351 million liters. This growth period was supported by producers adapting to international sanctions and market instability, sharply reducing reliance on imported concentrate by nearly 40%. Concurrently, rising consumer preference for natural and organic juices bolstered demand.

In the following years, market volume stabilized around 340 million liters. A slight contraction in 2022 gave way to a modest increase in 2023, with volume reaching 342 million liters. This final growth was underpinned by ongoing investments in new production capacities and a sustained consumer trend towards healthier lifestyles.
