From 2021 onward, evolving consumer preferences became a primary market driver. The rising popularity of cold-pressed and organic juices fueled demand for premium, natural products, which increased the market's value even as physical volumes fluctuated. This trend was reinforced by the expansion of organic concentrate production capacity and the introduction of low-sugar product variants. However, rising production costs due to inflation and higher raw material expenses led to increased retail prices, explaining the growth in the market's monetary value even when volume declined. By 2024, unfavorable weather conditions caused an 11% drop in the European industrial apple harvest, further tightening the supply of concentrate and sustaining upward price pressure, while innovation in functional and sustainable packaging continued to shape the market.
