The walnut market volume in Uzbekistan showed variability from 2018 to 2023. Starting at 45 718 t in 2018, it declined to 42 640 t in 2019, then recovered to 47 339 t in 2020. Market size stabilized around 47 000 t in 2021 and 2022 before rising to 52 845 t in 2023.

Domestic production remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 47 558 t and 50 189 t annually over the period. Trade dynamics changed markedly: imports, negligible until 2019, began growing in 2020 and surged from 2022, reaching 8 340 t in 2023. Exports also shifted, peaking at 4 928 t in 2019, falling to 1 936 t in 2021, and recovering to 4 832 t by 2023.

In 2024, import volumes rose sharply to 14 066 t, while exports increased to 9 855 t, reflecting heightened participation in international walnut trade. Although market size for 2024 is not calculated, the substantial trade flows point to an active and evolving market landscape.
