In 2024, the market environment evolved with new legislation coming into effect. Law No. 345-Z of January 5, 2024, amended regulations on the production and circulation of alcoholic beverages, introducing changes to labeling, certification, and advertising rules. Concurrently, rising consumer incomes and retail turnover in Belarus fostered demand for alcoholic drinks, including vermouth, while the entry of new players and a trend toward craft and premium products expanded the variety available. In 2020, output was valued at 2.752 million US dollars, a 10.7% decrease from the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, production value increased by 14.6%, with an average annual growth rate of 4.6%. The highest value was recorded in 2019 at 3.083 million US dollars, and the largest increase was a 17.1% rise in 2018.

From 2017 to 2020, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Israel were the main destinations for Belarus's vermouth and other flavored wine exports in volume terms. Kazakhstan accounted for 6.4% of exports, Russia for 2.3%, and Israel for 0.5%, together making up 9.3% of total export volume.
