The market for vegetables in vinegar in Kyrgyzstan grew from 604 tons in 2018 to 1 078 tons in 2020, an increase of almost 80%, then contracted to 756 tons in 2022 before jumping to 1 203 tons in 2023. Imports rose from 646 tons to 1 110 tons over the same period, while exports varied sharply, peaking at 565 tons in 2022.

In 2025, the Land Code was updated, and imports of dried pulses from Kazakhstan grew significantly while vegetable exports declined. Kyrgyzstan maintains high self-sufficiency in vegetables and potatoes, providing a stable domestic base for processing.
