However, production declined to 266.9 thousand tons in 2020, representing a 1.3% decrease from the previous year. The lowest production level was recorded in 2018 at 237.3 thousand tons. Over the four-year span from 2017 to 2020, production grew by 8.6%, averaging an annual increase of 2.8%. The most significant year-on-year drop occurred in 2018 with a 3.4% decline, while the largest gain was seen in 2019 with a 14.0% rise.

In 2020, the value of vegetables, pulses, and potatoes in vinegar produced in ASEAN reached 376.6 million US dollars, reflecting a substantial 19.3% increase compared to 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, the total value of production rose by 21.1%, corresponding to a compound annual growth rate of 6.6%. The most notable decline was observed in 2019, when output value fell by 0.4%.
