This growth was primarily driven by the national gas supply and gasification program, which increased demand for polymer pipes. Market growth continued at a slower pace, reaching 1 138 thousand tonnes in 2024. The gasification program remained a key driver, though investments in gas networks began to slow. The market saw consolidation in 2024 when Gazprombank acquired a 25% stake in the Polyplastic Group. By 2025, production volume declined to 978 thousand tonnes, influenced by reduced Gazprom spending on pipeline infrastructure and ongoing supply chain realignment, exemplified by Polyplastic's acquisition of a majority stake in the former Russian subsidiary of Aliaxis in February 2025.
