Earlier Report Observations

The fresh tomato market in CIS began the period at 8 001 thousand tons in 2018. Geopolitical risks and currency fluctuations in 2019 constrained imports and raised exports, reducing the market size to 7 907 thousand tons. The COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 further disrupted logistics and demand, leading to a drop in production and imports that brought the market down to 7 601 thousand tons.
