Hungary's strawberry production showed significant fluctuations between 2019 and 2021. In 2019, production reached its lowest point at 5 240 tonnes. The following year saw a sharp increase, with production peaking at 6 140 tonnes in 2020, representing a 17.2% rise from 2019. However, in 2021, production declined to 5 490 tonnes, marking a 10.6% decrease compared to 2020.

Exports strawberries from Hungary

Hungary's strawberry exports experienced considerable volatility from 2018 to 2021. Exports hit their lowest point in 2018, then surged dramatically in 2019 to reach a peak of 74 tonnes, reflecting a massive 623.5% increase from the previous year. In 2020, exports dropped sharply by 49.4%, but rebounded in 2021 to 68 tonnes, showing an 83.3% rise compared to 2020. Overall, the gap between the peak in 2019 and the trough in 2018 was 7.2-fold.
