In 2020, Thailand produced 3,715 tonnes of silkworm cocoons, marking a sharp decline of 25.9% compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production fell by 23.6%, with an average annual decrease of 8.6%. The highest production level was recorded in 2019 at 5,011 tonnes, which also saw the largest annual increase of 3.1%.
