From 2018 to 2019, the Polish plastic sanitary ware market grew from 211.8 million USD to 233.1 million USD, supported by continued investment in large production facilities and the development of new product segments such as energy-efficient solutions. The entry of new local and foreign players increased competition and broadened the product range, further stimulating market expansion. In 2020, market value dipped to 227.2 million USD as the COVID-19 pandemic caused supply chain disruptions and affected raw material availability.

A strong post-pandemic recovery in 2021 pushed the market to 329.7 million USD, with production and supply chains gradually rebuilding after the earlier disruptions. The following year, however, the market contracted to 274.9 million USD due to global supply chain disturbances, rising raw material prices, and the introduction of stricter packaging and labeling regulations that raised compliance costs for producers.

After a further decline to 232.0 million USD in 2023, the market rebounded in 2024, reaching 268.9 million USD, reflecting a partial recovery and stabilization amid ongoing adjustments in the industry.

The highest value was recorded in 2019 at 292.5 million US dollars, while the largest annual increase occurred in 2018 at 19.9%.

Poland's cross-border shipments of plastic sanitary ware increased for the third consecutive year. In 2020, export volume reached 45 228 tonnes, marking a 2.7% year-over-year advance. Between 2017 and 2020, exports grew by 8.7%, with a compound annual growth rate of 2.8%.

From 2017 to 2020, Poland supplied plastic sanitary ware to numerous markets, with even the largest destinations—Germany, France, and Czechia—collectively accounting for only 47.7% of total exports in volume.

In 2020, plastic sanitary ware shipments from Poland abroad totaled 192.0 million US dollars, representing a gradual 9.2% increase compared to the previous year. Between 2017 and 2020, exports rose by 28.1%, equating to an 8.6% annualized rate. The largest decline occurred in 2019 at 2.1%, while the largest increase was recorded in 2018 at 19.9%.

Throughout 2017-2020, Poland's plastic sanitary ware exports in value terms were not concentrated on a few key markets. Germany (34.0% of exports in value), Czechia (7.5%), and the United Kingdom (7.3%) together accounted for only 48.8% of total flows.

Poland's plastic sanitary ware imports increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, imports totaled 26 659 tonnes, marking an abrupt 27.2% year-over-year advance. Over the 2017-2020 period, imports grew by 51.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of 14.8%. The lowest volume was recorded in 2018 at 17 406 tonnes, which also saw the largest decline of 1.1%.

From 2017 to 2020, China (37.9% of imports in volume), Germany (21.4%), and Slovakia (6.3%) led Poland's import structure in kind, together representing 65.6% of total flows.

Poland's plastic sanitary ware imports increased for the third consecutive year. In 2020, imports amounted to 134.7 million US dollars, constituting a strong 15.8% increase compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, imports rose by 44.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of 13.0%.
