From 2018 to 2024, the German pineapple juice market contracted in physical volume, falling from 60 821 thousand liters to 42 568 thousand liters. The most pronounced decline occurred between 2021 and 2023, when market size dropped by 27%. In value terms, however, the market remained relatively stable, ending the period at approximately 56.7 million dollars, close to its 2018 level, indicating a rise in average prices.

After a steep reduction in 2022 and 2023, market volume saw a modest recovery of 3% in 2024. This uptick coincided with new EU regulations that took effect in 2024, including mandatory tethered caps for beverage bottles and updated rules on approved pesticides. At the same time, sustained consumer preference for healthier, tropical drinks and for products with sustainable packaging continued to influence demand.
