Following a two-year decline, pear production in Egypt rebounded. In 2020, Egypt produced 79 350 tonnes of pears, marking a solid 15.3% increase compared to 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production grew by 2.9%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.9%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 68 820 tonnes, while the largest decline occurred in 2018 with a 9.0% drop.
