After two years of decline, pear production in New Zealand increased in 2021. That year, New Zealand produced 16 784 tonnes of pears, marking a modest rise of 1.3% compared to 2020. The largest decline occurred in 2019, when production fell by 7.5%. Production reached its lowest point in 2020 at 16 571 tonnes.
