Armenia's pear production rebounded in 2020 after two consecutive years of decline. The country produced 13 695 tonnes of pears that year, marking a modest 9.9% increase compared to 2019. However, looking at the broader period from 2017 to 2020, production actually fell by 24.6%, which translates to an average annual decline of 9.0%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 12 464 tonnes, while the sharpest year-on-year drop occurred in 2018 with a 21.9% decrease.

Import volumes reached their highest point in 2018 at 4 361 tonnes, then fell to their lowest level in 2020 at 352 tonnes - representing a 12.4-fold difference between these years.
