Earlier Report Observations

The orange market volume in Pakistan showed considerable fluctuation between 2018 and 2023. After reaching nearly 88 800 t in 2019, the market size dropped sharply to 46 600 t in 2020. Although it recovered to 64 900 t in 2021, subsequent years saw a decline to 54 800 t in 2023.

Domestic production followed a similar pattern, falling from over 96 000 t in 2018 to 62 100 t in 2020 before stabilizing around 66 000–68 000 t in 2021–2022 and then dipping to 63 600 t in 2023. Export volumes varied significantly, peaking at 15 500 t in 2020, which contributed to the low domestic availability that year, while imports remained minimal throughout the period.
