The market volume for oranges in Côte d'Ivoire showed considerable volatility from 2018 to 2023. After an initial increase to 52 194 tonnes in 2019, the market contracted sharply to 43 422 tonnes in 2020 before surging to a peak of 60 433 tonnes in 2021. This was followed by a moderate decline to 59 247 tonnes in 2022 and a further drop to 53 933 tonnes in 2023.

These fluctuations were primarily driven by changes in import volumes, which varied from a low of 4 846 tonnes in 2020 to a high of 22 142 tonnes in 2021. Domestic production remained stable, ranging between 40 299 and 41 725 tonnes per year, while exports gradually increased from 845 tonnes in 2018 to 4 096 tonnes in 2023, reducing net availability for the domestic market in later years.
