From 2018 to 2019, the Danish orange juice market volume declined from 61.6 million liters to 54.0 million liters, even as consumer interest in natural and health-oriented beverages grew. This decrease occurred without notable entries of new producers or significant regulatory changes.

The market rebounded in 2020, reaching 57.1 million liters, largely because the COVID-19 pandemic increased demand for vitamin C-rich juices perceived as immune-boosting. Demand for premium, cold-pressed, and non-concentrated variants helped sustain volume at 57.4 million liters in 2021.

A further rise to 67.0 million liters occurred in 2022, driven by the launch of fortified juices enriched with vitamin D and antioxidants, which attracted health-conscious consumers. After this peak, the market contracted sharply, falling to 45.1 million liters in 2023 and then to 35.8 million liters in 2024.
