Following a slight dip to 42 875 t in 2020, the market recovered to 43 878 t in 2021. The strengthening of the public procurement regulatory framework that year, through the adoption of new laws on government contracts, provided additional demand from state-related buyers, contributing to the rebound in market volume.

Market expansion continued, reaching 44 774 t in 2022 and stabilizing near 44 918 t in 2023. During this period, annual reviews of public procurement processes aimed at enhancing transparency and execution helped sustain consistent demand for peanuts, supporting the overall market volume.

From 2017 to 2020, France, China, and Singapore were the primary destinations for Togo's unroasted and uncooked groundnut exports in volume terms.
