The market for not roasted and not cooked groundnuts in Ghana expanded from 521 thousand tons in 2018 to 636 thousand tons in 2023. This growth was interrupted by a contraction in 2021, when volume fell to 502 thousand tons, before rebounding strongly over the next two years.

Production drove market volume throughout the period, as imports and exports remained minimal. After stable levels around 565 thousand tons in 2019 and 2020, the subsequent recovery pushed the market to new highs, with the most pronounced increase occurring in 2022.
