The market for fresh leguminous vegetables in Czechia expanded consistently from 2018 to 2022, with its value rising from 2 339 thousand US dollars to 4 240 thousand US dollars. The lowest production level was in 2018, at 3 080 tonnes, when output fell by 42.9%—the steepest drop in the period.

Czechia's leguminous vegetables production has grown in value for two consecutive years. In 2020, the output was valued at 1 888 thousand US dollars, up 14.3% from 2019. Over the 2017-2020 span, production value decreased by 9.8%, averaging a 3.4% annual decline. The lowest value was recorded in 2018 at 1 386 thousand US dollars, with a 33.8% drop that year—the largest decline. In contrast, 2019 saw the biggest increase at 19.2%.

Following two years of decline, Czechia's exports of leguminous vegetables rebounded in 2020. The country shipped 3 200 tonnes, a 29.1% increase from the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, exports fell by 26.5%, with an average annual decrease of 9.7%. The lowest export volume was in 2019 at 2 479 tonnes, while the sharpest decline occurred in 2018, dropping by 30.3%.

From 2017 to 2020, Germany, Poland, and Italy were consistently the top destinations for Czechia's leguminous vegetables exports by volume. Germany accounted for 67.4% of exports, Poland for 10.3%, and Italy for 5.4%. Together, these three countries made up 83.1% of total export flows.
