The grape market in Kuwait opened the period at 17 907 tons in 2018, with the spread of modern shopping centers and online platforms, alongside a 150% growth in e-commerce from that year, improving retail access and supporting the market's expansion to 21 824 tons in 2019.

Market volume contracted sharply to 16 281 tons in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic raised transport and shipping costs, disrupting import logistics and reducing the availability of grapes. This downward trend continued, with volumes falling further to 14 345 tons in 2021 and 9 027 tons in 2022, reflecting prolonged supply chain challenges.

A recovery occurred in 2023, with the market growing 57.7% to reach 14 235 tons. This rebound was driven by Kuwait's policy of diversifying its import sources to enhance food security, which stabilized grape supplies and reduced reliance on single-origin imports.
